Noorama Station lies in the ‘salad bowl’ region 110 km to the south-east of Cunnamulla, an aggregation of 5 properties to a total land area of 105,000 hectares. It has an excellent balance of top quality Mitchell grass plains, flooded Coolabah, Brigalow, Mulga and Gidgee country. Soils vary from heavy black to grey and brown cracking clays to red loamy soils to very deep sands.

A number of creek systems run through the property, as well as an extensive reticulated stock water system from eleven capped artesian bores. Average rainfall is 375mm per annum.

Noorama currently runs 25,000 Merino sheep, based on the Pooginook bloodline, for wool and sheep meat production, and 1,000 Angus breeders, which are crossed with Speckle Park bulls; the first cross calves are either fattened on the property as seasonal conditions permit, or else sent to our Gunnedah properties to grow out.
